Episode 4

In January my vision for this podcast was to enjoy getting together in person with my guests for these conversations.

I was also going to visit local places and attend events such as festivals and make short videos about them.

Obviously those plans are being revised due to the virus.

Now I’m experimenting with recording using remote technology systems that should get good sound. And I’m making plans to shoot some video this Fall at venues with few people.

To record this episode I’m using a program named Squad Cast. So my guest and I are both safe at our own homes. I welcome your observations about the sound quality. Email me at thailey@tomhailey.com

Someday we will be able to transition back to a closer to normal social and working environment.

But things will be different for a while, and well-developed leadership skills by all of us will be needed to make it work for everyone.

Leadership is our topic today. Our guest is an expert on leadership, change, critical thinking, and problem solving.

And he’s a great friend of mine.

We met through Toastmasters, and then we were in the National Speakers Association together where he became the President of our Kentucky Chapter. We were also in the local chapter of the Association for Talent Development, also known as the ATD.

He is Daniel D Matthews. His organization is Continue 2 Improve and his website is at danieldmatthews.com

Today we are talking about leadership and his new book titled:

The Language of Leadership / Nicer Bark, No Bite / 31 Critical Lessons to Lead, Grow and Improve Your Team

Dan invites you to join his book launch team’s Facebook group. Members receive bonus chapters and video content. CLICK HERE to go to the group page.
