Episode 7

We often hear that it’s never too late to begin something new.

Our guest is an inspiring example of that. He is novelist f j messina.

His series of books is titled The Bluegrass Files followed by the name of that particular book. His fifth one is Revenge.

They are all available now on Amazon.

The Bluegrass Files: Revenge will be on sale at Joseph-Beth Booksellers here in Lexington, Kentucky on the book launch date of November 16, 2020.

We talk about the beginning of him adding fiction writing to his creative projects. He also explains how he went from being known as Doc Messina to f j messina.

A fun fact about his books is that they are set here in Kentucky at real places. His detectives have their offices in a fictional space above the real Magee’s Bakery on Main Street in Lexington.

We’ll get into his imagining, writing, and publishing processes.

We’ll also touch on what he likes to show off here in the Bluegrass Region.

Join us as I ask f j how he decided to become a mystery writer at age 68.
