Episode 62
Navigating the health care system can be confusing. Arranging for the care of our senior citizens can be frustrating. That’s the case whether it’s for loved ones or for ourselves.
I know this too well. My family experienced all the phases with our parents.
I’m Tom Hailey and this is Bluegrass Region Voices and Views.
My guest is DG Linton Gridley, the founder and CEO of the Aging with Grace: Independent Life Club here in Lexington.
There are four aspects to her work.
- The Adult Day Healthcare Center named the Fountain of Youth Clubhouse.
- Independence Consultation and Case Management
- At Home Health Help Services
- Home Improvements
In this conversation you’ll get to know DG, learning about her background and the journey that led her to leave her career in education to earn her Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, and then devote years to creating this much needed resource to improve peoples health and quality of life.
We taped this conversation in the spa area at the Fountain of Youth Clubhouse on Allendale Drive here in Lexington.
Drop in on our conversation after I’ve asked DG to tell us where she was born and raised.
Outro
In this conversation we focused on getting to know DG and learning about the Clubhouse.
But there is so much more.
Dropping by for one of their Lunch & Learn programs would be a great next step in discovering how the Aging with Grace programs can help you. While there you can learn more about the In-Home Health and the Home Improvements parts of her program, along with Independence Consultation and Case Management.
The next step is to study their website. It is at www.agingwithgraceinfo.org
Now is the time to begin planning for the future.
Thanks for listening.
